A love that will always last forever.

To begin, what exactly is Valentine's? Why are we celebrating it? Valentine's Day, also known as the "Day of the Hearts," is observed on February 14th. We celebrate this occasion to express our gratitude not only to our loved ones but also to the best people we have ever known.

If you're wondering how my Valentine's Day went, it was fantastic. My Valentine's Day party quickly became one of the most memorable events of my life. Why? because I received my first bouquet right then and there. Having someone to love you as a lover is very motivating and makes me very happy because I already have someone who is willing to do so.

I also had a celebration with my friends and family which is really happy because we shared our stories and laughed together. We also gave gifts to every member of the friend group. Because of these reasons, I'll say that I had a wonderful day on Valentine's day and I'll say that our love for each other will always last forever.

Vigan's Kannawidan

Ilocos Sur is a lovely province in the northern part of the island of Luzon. It is a culturally rich province that represents ancient Spanish and Filipino ancestors. To show and share their treasures with the rest of the world, the locals created the "Kannadiwan Festival," which highlights these cultural traditions.

It is a festival that takes place from the last week of January to the first week of February. The commemoration of the province's founding day is included in the schedule of events.

One of the festival's goals is to pay more attention to children. It is due to the observation that many traditions, songs, dances, and other aspects of Ilocano culture are not recognized by the province's younger generations. Instead of traditional dances, children are more interested in modern and novelty dances they see on television. It is one of the reasons for the Kannadiwan Festival.

This is significant because children can learn about their rich culture and traditions here. Traditional tribal rituals, choir and glee club competitions, marching band competitions, traditional music ensembles, dance drama, traditional and folk dances, contemporary dance competitions, and street dancing showdowns are among them.

The local government of Ilocos Sur created this festival to encourage younger generations to learn the province's indigenous songs and dances. And we're thankful for all the people that cooperated in making all the people happy in Vigan.

Explore The Beauty of Vigan!!!

Vigan is a Philippine local region located on the large island of Luzon. It is located in the province of Ilocus Sur. But it is the city of Vigan's own product, the "Vigan Longganisa," that has made the city quite popular among other nearby places. Vigan's Longganisa can be eaten in any way that you want. Aside from eating it straight, some people prefer it as a bread filling. Others think it's great for breakfast with fried eggs and rice. Furthermore, dipping in Ilocos vinegar improves the flavor even more especially with plenty of crushed hot chili and sliced garlic and onions.

Vigan's longganisa was derived from the "Mexican Salami" in the past. According to some sources, the tradition of making this native sausage began during the country's Spanish colonization.
Vigan residents refer to themselves as "Biguenos," and they always greet visitors with warm smiles. They are so proud of their longganisa product that it has been designated as their city's "One Town, One Project" (OTOP). And they have always aimed to be the country's leading producer of longganisa.

Vigan has been celebrating the Longganisa Festival for nearly a decade. It has since become a traditional cultural festival celebrated by the Biguenos on the 25th of January every year. In addition, thousands of locals and foreign visitors usually attend the event. Street dancing and other activities (such as food fairs, carnivals, and arts and crafts exhibits) help promote Vigan's longganisa product, just as they do at other festival celebrations.

My Reflection.

Only a few months had passed, and I had learned so much. So many lessons were learned. Lessons in school, but also in life. One of the reasons I have to work hard and make my family proud is because I go to school. Every subject has a unique set of lessons to teach. This Quarter 2 has taught me a lot. Everyday learning is beneficial to our health. I'm sure it does. Learning can be exhausting at times due to the abundance of assignments, but the effort will be worthwhile. Learning about tags in ICT, mirrors and motors in Science, and many other topics. In the future, I'd like to learn more. Thank you also to the teachers who are eager to teach their students.

New Year, New us...?

A year had passed, and new problems had arisen for us to face and solve. Despite our happiness, there are still problems that will test us throughout our lives. These problems are difficult, but they push us to be better and do better for our own good.

Another year has passed, and a new chapter begins. Everything that will happen in our lives will be unknown again, and we will only find out by doing and making decisions. Every year will pass, but I will still remain as the daughter and the girl that my parents and others see in me. But I'll be the woman the love of my life sees.

My new year was fantastic because I spent it with my family. They made everyone and everything happy. Just thinking about it and mentally traveling back in time makes me happy.

Again, we celebrate Christmas...

We all know that Christmas is also the day on which Jesus was born. We celebrate with our families and loved ones. With our sole emotion, happiness.

After celebrating Christmas for the past two years, I realized that it is not the same as we did many years ago. The Christmas we have is only limited because of the virus's spread in 2019, which continues to this day. Christmas is celebrated by cooking, eating, drinking, dancing, and singing. Yes, there is still happiness, but it is not the same.

To be honest, I'm glad  I still got to spend Christmas with my family. We celebrated despite the fact that we still have a lot of problems. Instead, we washed our problems away and felt the Christmas spirit. We choose to be happy and spend time with our families and loved ones because that is what they are for. So, regardless of the world problems we are currently facing, we never forget how to be happy and fight. And I hope that everyone realizes them sooner or later.
